Servo motor repair is divided into mechanical repair and electrical repair.

1. Mechanical parts should be repaired and replaced with damaged bearings. Compared with the maintenance of ordinary motors, only the bearings are special. Since most servo motors are synchronous motors with magnetic poles on the rotor, ordinary materials cannot solve this problem, so material customization becomes especially critical and alignment requirements are higher than ordinary motors.

2. The maintenance of the electrical part mainly includes the maintenance of windings, magnets and encoders.

Just follow the original circuit and wire diameter of the motor winding back, the premise is to choose a good copper wire.

Magnetization requires some technical content, usually external magnetization and disassembly magnetization, the former applies to the magnetization of certain stator magnetic fields; but disassembly magnetization requires skills, in addition to knowing the magnetic field strength of the original motor, but also need to know the distribution to ensure the shape. Most of the early servo motors used slightly lower quality black magnets, which were usually used shortly after magnetization. Some temporary solutions are not radical solutions and can be considered to save cost, but we do not recommend them. We will reselect ferrite magnets that are resistant to high temperatures and highly resistant to electromagnetic interference for all replacements.

Encoder replacement and maintenance is a test of the technical content of servo motor maintenance. After all, most imported servo motors are in non-standard communication format. Earlier incremental products could be exchanged with each other, but the new generation formed its own different internal standards. Different manufacturers have different standard models. In addition, the pulse density is too high and the encoder alignment algorithms are different, making the lack of commonality in each brand of product more difficult to maintain.
